Mon its too late to send the FCC comments about this matter but even after Mon
you can still write your legislators about pending legislation on this
subject--see below)
The fact is public access in cable--which includes but is not limited to Amy
Goodman's award winning democracy Now-- is threatened. In this time of media
concentration it is more important than ever to preserve fresh voices in the
news and arts that is at the heart of public access.
You can go directly to the FCC website and write a simple comment like "I
think public access is valuable and necessary" or "public access preserves
needed diversity" ( if you want more suggestions for what to say go here and

Note: This is a national issue and people anywhere in the country can comment
to the FCC and contact their legislators even though some parts of this email
pertain specifically to NY'ers). Also after you make a brief public comment
