I just got a call from "La Guerrero" - (Armando Gonzalez) He is a "line
driver" here in California. Line drivers drive from the ports to other ports
and other long distance destinations within the State of California. They
are almost totally a different set of drivers from the Port Truckers.
La Guerrero was one of the five line drivers who jack knifed their semi
trucks on the Fwys during the May Day 2004 truckers STRIKE. (The California
Chamber of Commerce reported that 85% of the port traffic in the entire
State of California was shut down for three days during the May Day - 2004
Port Trucker STRIKE.)
La Guerrero assures me that the line drivers are going out on STRIKE on
May Day 2006. There is a press conference planned for April 28 in Compton,
CA. .
So far La Guerrero had been very dependable in what he reports.
Community and Students and Truckers and all Workers UNITED have a
lot more power than any of them alone
. Let's UNITE!
If others around the country want to try to UNITE up
with the truckers I will try to get them contacts in their areas. I am not
sure that I can do
that but sometimes we get the nationwide trucker communications going well
enough to get contacts in especially port cities around the country and
sometimes in other areas as well.

our UNITY and SOLIDARITY.
