The May 20Th March and Rally in Solidarity with Venezuela & Cuba is an event that was planned in Washington D.C since March 2006 by the Venezuela Solidarity Network (VSNW) which is endorsed by many national grassroots organizations including many Bolivarian Circles such as the Bolivarian Circle of Los Angeles “Ezequiel Zamora, etc. In order to clear any misunderstanding this May 20 event that will take place in Los Angeles has not any particular organization as sponsor as "accidentally" appears, and/or is being announced on the monthly calendar CHANGE-LINKS. In the case of Los Angeles this event is being organized by a local broad coalition. However, the event was agreed in consensus among the endorsers in WDC to do it simultaneously in WDC and in Los Angeles on the same day of May 20Th basically, as a response to the constant hostile foreign intervention against Venezuela and Cuba.
In Los Angeles a broad coalition is being formed by different local grass roots organizations and progressive individuals to help planning the May 20Th march and rally “Hands Off Venezuela and Cuba”. People and any progressive organization without distinction who support Venezuela and are against the intervention escalated towards this country specially the discredited and insane media misinformation against President Chavez, are welcome to join the planning meetings that are taking place every Tuesday at 6:30 PM at the UCLA Labor Center located at 675 S Park View St. Los Angeles CA 90057-3306.
