LA River Poetry reading, bringing attention to the LA River, Friends of the LA River and local social issues, bimonthly at the Atwater River Walk Yoga Park.
Sunday, May 28, 2006 12:30pm Since 2005 the community has been having poetry readings, discussion, and vegetarian potlucks on the LA River. This month's discussion topic is children and the arts. Directions: If you driving to the Atwater River Walk Yoga Park, take the 5 freeway to Los Feliz blvd, head east, turn right on Glenfeliz and another right at Dover, the zip code is 90039. For public transportation use bus 180 or 181, get off at Glenfeliz, walk west and take a right on Dover. We're always looking for organizations to co-sponsor, so please contact us if you're interested in getting a topic out there and working to help put the LA River in the consciousness of the residents of Los Angeles.
