WHO: All interested people are invited, especially
anyone who might represent one of our member
organizations.
We're likely to be discussing such things as
outreach to new groups, candidate questionnaires,
boycotts, counter-recruitment, and anything that
might end the war sooner.
Please bring your ideas, and be ready to step
up and participate.
DIRECTIONS:
Turn into the parking lot from Batavia just north
of La Veta Ave., drive around to the left, to the
south side of the complex. We'll be in the last
wing of the building that you come to on the south
side. Look for signs to direct you to the room
that we've been assigned. It will probably be
Classroom 1, in the building to the rear.

#2 Bring Our Troops Home Now Rally at Laguna Hills Mall Saturday,
June 10th

A Bring Our Troops Home public rally will be held Saturday, June 10th,
from 11am to 12:30 pm. Participants will meet at the entrance to the
Laguna Hills Mall on El Toro Road near Macy's.
The sponsor, People for Peace, (ad-hoc committee of Concerned
Citizens), invites the public to join them in protesting the endless war
our administration on Iraq.
1,500 new Americans have just been deployed to Iraq, with no clear
exit plans to this unpopular war. The public must speak out boldly
and insistently against our presence there, which fuels the insurgency
toward more violence.
Stand with us to end the killing. Bring signs and flags, or use one of

Illegal Immigration Issues, a forum with the aide to U.S. Representative
John Campbell and immigration attorney John Alcorn.
When: Thursday, June 15 at 7 pm
Where: Tapestry, a UU Congregation, 25801 Obrero Dr. in Mission Viejo
What: a forum on the problems and solutions surrounding Illegal
Immigration into the United States.
Who: Participants are Lou Penrose, aide to U.S. Representative John
Campbell, who will present an up-to-date Congressional report; Rep.
Campbell has been active in the House debate on this issue. The other
speaker is John Alcorn, Esq., an immigration attorney, who has been in
private practice for 26 years and will speak to the personal consequences
of Federal immigration laws.
There are passionate viewpoints on this complicated issue, and we hope
this program will help clarify and evaluate problems and solutions.
There will be a question and answer period. Refreshments follow. A
free-will donation is suggested.

#6 San Clemente Food not Bombs every Saturday,
3 PM

We have decided to move our serving day and free
Market to Saturday, as opposed to Sunday. San
Clemente Food Not Bombs, will be serving in Max Berg
Park at 3pm every Saturday.
Some new projects within San Clemente Food Not
Bombs have been:
providing clothes, house supplies, appliances, and anything
else donated that would be of use to the lower income families
which we work with in our community.
Books Not Bombs. BNB collects and redistrubutes reading
material, preferably progressive and historical writings,
and offers them to the community at no cost. BNB looks to
collect, among others, childrens books to be distrubuted to
Las Palmas Elememtary School, located across from the
park which SCFNB serves at.
Finally, SCFNB has begun a small collection of youth working
to send items and love into the prison industrial complex.

"Peace vigil every Sunday night at the foot of the
Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm
It's hard for most people to imagine a world at peace.
We are a very small group of people who believe that
this is indeed possible and that peace will happen once
enough people believe that it can. So we stand at the
pier every Sunday night with a sign that says:
"Visualize World Peace. It's up to you".
We also believe in non-violence both physically
and in our thoughts. We will discuss peace and
non-violence with anyone who is rational and
smile quietly at those who aren't. We hold this vigil
in a spirit of dignity and respect for all as we try
to build bridges with those who don't share our
philosophy.
