Celebrate Lesbian/Gay/Bi/Transgender Pride Month Friday, June 23, 7:30 p.m. Gays of Color: Putting the Motion in the Movement Two courageous women of the Cherokee tribe are fighting to have their lesbian relationship recognized—and are winning. Alaskan Native (Tlingit) and lesbian activist Debra O’Gara’s recent article in the Freedom Socialist newspaper about this victory and the civil and human rights battles facing lesbians, gays, bisexuals, two-spirited and transgenders of color will be discussed. A cool summer buffet with vegetarian option will be served at 7:00 pm for a $6.50 donation. Location: Solidarity Hall, 2170 W.
