July 11 meeting of Program Council The interim Program Council of KPFK will be meeting on Tuesday, July 11 at the station at 6:30 (in a meeting postponed because of the extension of the fund drive). Station Manager Eva Georgia will be attending. We will further the process of setting up advisory evaluation committees (including finalizing criteria for evaluating programs).The monthly meeting of the interim Program Council, rescheduled from June 26 because of the extension of the fund drive, will take place on Tuesday, July 11 at KPFK, 3729 Cahuenga Blvd. W., at 6:30 PM, with the participation of General Manager Eva Georgia, and, schedule permitting, Program Director Armando Gudino.
Business includes finalizing proposals from committees on criteria for evaluating existing and new programming, and for establishing advisory committees to apply those criteria in evaluating existing programming, including drive time public affairs, news, health & spirituality, and late night. Additional areas will be added at a later date. Time permitting, we will further the process of identifying areas of community need for new programming on the station, and consider demos of recent submissions for music and literary shows on the station.
