Peace Rally
A Bring our Troops Home public rally will be held Saturday, July 8th,
from 11am to 12:30pm. Participants will meet at the entrance to the
Laguna Hills Mall at Regional Center Drive and El Toro Road near
Macy's.
The sponsor, People for Peace, invites the public to join them in
protesting
the endless war our administration is waging against Iraq, Afghanistan,
and possibly Iran. The public must speak out boldly and insistently
against
our military presence in the mid-east, which fuels the insurgencies to
more
violence.
A new brochure, STOP THE WAR! BRING THEM HOME ALIVE,
produced by PFP will be distributed. It contains the eight most-asked
questions about the war and gives eight well-researched and documented
answers. Participants will be encouraged to share this pamphlet widely.
Join the Rally to end the killing. Bring signs and flags, or use one of
theirs. For information: (949) 587-0301

#7 Every Sunday evening in Huntington Beach:
"Peace vigil every Sunday night at the foot of the
Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm
It's hard for most people to imagine a world at peace.
We are a very small group of people who believe that
this is indeed possible and that peace will happen once
enough people believe that it can. So we stand at the
pier every Sunday night with a sign that says:
"Visualize World Peace. It's up to you".
We also believe in non-violence both physically
and in our thoughts. We will discuss peace and
non-violence with anyone who is rational and
smile quietly at those who aren't. We hold this vigil
in a spirit of dignity and respect for all as we try
to build bridges with those who don't share our
philosophy.
Please bring a candle or just help us hold up our
banner (no signs please; we have our banner!)
