Me comunico con ustedes hoy, para pedirles que nos brinden su apoyo
para nuestro evento que tomará acabo este lunes, 25 de septiembre,
"TESTIGO DE PAZ: DESOBEDIENCIA CIVIL PARA SALVAR LAS VIDAS DE NUESTROS
JOVENES" de 10 am 1 pm al 7060 Hollywood Blvd. en frente de la
oficina de reclutamiento militar (ubicado en medio de las calles La
Brea y Highland). La Declaración de Paz es una campaña enfocada en la
organización de un fín definitivo a la ocupación Estadounidense en
Iraq. La declaración es una llamada exigiendo un establecimiento e
implementación de un plan comprensivo de evacuación inmediata de las
tropas Estadounidenses de Iraq por el 21 de septiembre, cuando
comenzarán actividades y acciones incluyendo manifestaciones,
demonstraciones de oposición pública , vigilias y todo sera puntuado
por la acción civil no violenta.
La Declaración de Paz está actualmente apoyada por más de 330
organizaciones espirituales/litúrgicas/religiosas al nivel local y
nacional, también por organizaciones sociales, estudiantiles ,
organizaciones de paz, igualmente como el Comite de Servicio por los
Amigos Americanos /American Friends Service Committee , United for
Peace and Justice/ Unidos por la Paz y la Justicia, Iraq Veterans
Against the War/ Veteranos de Iraq en Contra de la Guerra, la Red de
Acción Estudiantil por la Paz/Student Peace Action Network, Foorhills
Peace Coalition/Coalicion de Paz de Foothills y Veterans for

Please join us for our event "WITNESS TO PEACE: CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE TO
SAVE THE LIVES OF OUR CHILDREN" on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 10 AM 1 PM
at the Hollywood Military Recruiting Office at 7060 Hollywood Blvd.
(between La Brea and Highland).The National DECLARATION of PEACE
Coalition will engage in a week of nonviolent action to end the war in
Iraq, beginning September 21st. Los Angeles groups will participate in
vigils, marches, protests and non-violent civil disobedience.
The Declaration of Peace was created through discussions beginning
last January between student groups, religious leaders and secular
peace organizations whose goal was to end the war in Iraq. The
Declaration of Peace is a coalition of over 330 national, regional and
local religious, peace, social justice, veteran and student groups,
including the American Friends Service Committee, Interfaith
Communities United for Justice and Peace (ICUJP), United for Peace and
Justice, Iraq Veterans Against the War, Student Peace Action Network,
Catholic Worker, Stop-the-War Ministry Team of First Congregational
Church in Long Beach, Whittier Area Peace and Justice Coalition,
Coalition for World Peace, Foothills Peace Coalition and Veterans for
Peace.
