The San Diego Chapter of World Can't Wait urges
everyone to attend this event.
"The vast majority of people want an end to this
war. We demand that the Bush regime be held
accountable for its crimes against people here
and around the world, and its violations of the
US Constitution and international law.
Impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors
yes. Let the backroom deals, the lies, the
cover-ups be uncovered. Criminal indictments? War
crimes and crimes against humanity prosecutions?
People of the world who care about justice want
to know why these haven't already happened.
There are several mechanisms through which the
president and his regime can be forced from
office, but the impetus to do this will not come
from Congress. Repudiating and rejecting the
whole direction, and driving this regime out can
only be done by a critical mass of politically
aware people taking on the whole package with substance and urgency. ......
In the words of the Dixie chicks, "We're not
ready to make nice." This is no time to be
passive or wait out 2+ years in which the Bush
regime can to unimaginable damage. Let's take the
opening we have to bring this whole direction to
a halt and drive out the Bush regime in 2007.
