Cole is in Jordan right now arranging to bring another Iraqi child back to the US for medical treatment. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ Dear Friends, I founded No More Victims in September of 2002. No More Victims has brought four war-injured Iraqi children to the United States for medical care. All were injured as a direct result of US military assault. The children received expert medical treatment, with exceptional outcomes. Communities in four cities Los Angeles , Pittsburgh , Houston , and Orlando dedicated much time and effort to meet the needs of the children and their parents. The mainstream corporate media was largely receptive to these efforts. Weve received nearly 200 broadcast media hits and extensive print coverage. The projects help to educate the American public about the human costs of this horrific war. They secure assistance for injured children who would otherwise not receive the medical treatment they need. And they provide a means for communities to express opposition to war and violence by dedicating their efforts to helping one child whose story speaks for thousands of others. There are now some 15 projects in various stages of development. We are working hard to connect communities with injured children. I leave for Amman in January to gather more medical reports and photographs. After I return, I would welcome the opportunity to show the video in your community & to talk about the projects and ways your community can become involved. While medical treatment is provided pro bono, funding is urgently needed for travel, accommodations & incidental expenses during the childrens treatment. I hope that you will watch this 15-minute video and send what you can. Were working to develop a national movement to provide direct assistance to victims of aggression in Iraq . The next few months will be crucial. Any support you could offer would be most appreciated. Hi Frank, Omar and his father were denied entry at the Joradian border, which is getting much tighter as more people without resources or contacts attempt to flee the bloodshed. They spent three days there in refugee camp. I had to pull every string in the book and go to the border at 4 am and stay there for 12 hours, but Omar and his father are now here with me in Amman! It's been a rollercoaster of a week. I'll write more in the morning; totally beat now. Love, Cole -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
