Join the ANSWER Coalition on Tuesday, Jan. 23, for an anti-war
response to Bush's "State of the Union" address. There will be
speakers, anti-war organizing and political discussion.

* Anti-War Response to Bush's 'State of the Union': Just one hour
before Tuesday's ANSWER meeting, President George Bush will give his
yearly "State of the Union" address to the nation. He'll focus on
Iraq, the "war on terror", healthcare, energy, immigration and more.
Hear a true anti-war response to Bush's major policy speech.
Participate in a discussion about how to push forward anti-war and
social justice demands in the coming months.

* Help Build Upcoming Anti-War Protests: The ANSWER Coalition is
supporting the upcoming Jan. 27 action. It will be a great action to
help build for the culmination of anti-war work in the winter, March
17--the 4th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. In Los Angeles,
there will be a mass march and rally on March 17 to protest the war
in coordination with a march on the Pentagon. Find out about the
protest, how you can get involved in building it and why it is
important to stay on the streets in the coming period. Click here to
endorse March 17 in LA today!

* Venezuela - The Bolivarian Revolution Deepens: The Bolivarian
revolution in Venezuela is on the move. Last week, President Hugo
Chavez announced the nationalization of major electricity and
telecommunications companies. The people of Venezuela are making
great strides. Hear about the newest developments in Venezuela and
what anti-war activists in the U.S. can do to show solidarity.

attend a cultural solidarity night to commemorate the 20th
anniversary of the Mediola Massacre in the Philippines. On Jan. 22,
1987, 13 peasants were massacred and hundreds were wounded by members
of the repressive Armed Forces of the Philippines while demanding
genuine land reform in a peaceful protest. The commemoration and
solidarity night will be an evening of art, culture and politics.
