Senior Patriots Against the War is tightly focused on the
above agenda only. We ask that other demonstrators joining
us not bring signs regarding other causes which may dilute
our message.
Protest in front of Leisure World entrance at Seal Beach Blvd, 10-12.
right next to Boeing plant and not too far from the Naval Weapons
Stations, Seal Beach exit off the 405. Parking is at the SealBeach
Market. People need to bring their own signs.

desert to get to the U.S. will be shown on

Admission is free. Mike Wilson, who has set up water
stations in the desert, and is featured in the film, will
speak following the showing. The event is sponsored
by several human rights organizations, including the
Southern Calif. UUSC and the local chapter of

April 10, 2007 (2nd Tuesday)
Speaker Jimmy Johnson has worked as a researcher
for the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions
(ICAHD) in Jerusalem for most of the last three years.
His work there included documenting human rights
abuses, organizing and practicing civil disobedience,
and guiding governmental and civil society groups from
all over the world in political tours of East Jerusalem
and environs. For two years he has researched Israel's
arms industry to develop a model of the country's
military diplomacy and is the co-author, along with
Prof. Jeff Halper, of an upcoming book on the subject
from Pluto Press.
We meet at the Irvine Ranch Water District Offices
on Sand Canyon between the 5 freeway and the 405.
Get off the 5 freeway at Sand Canyon and go south
to Waterworks Drive. Exit the 405 freeway at Sand
Canyon and go north to Waterworks Drive.

Women in Black, Laguna Woods has met every Wednesday
afternoon for the last four years. They encourage women,
and men too, to join and witness for peace. They meet on
El Toro Road and Av Valencia. Park in the Laguna Hills

"Peace vigil every Sunday night at the foot of the
Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm
It's hard for most people to imagine a world at peace.
We are a very small group of people who believe that
this is indeed possible and that peace will happen once
enough people believe that it can. So we stand at the
pier every Sunday night with a sign that says:
"Visualize World Peace. It's up to you".
We also believe in non-violence both physically
and in our thoughts. We will discuss peace and
non-violence with anyone who is rational and
smile quietly at those who aren't. We hold this vigil
in a spirit of dignity and respect for all as we try
to build bridges with those who don't share our
philosophy.
Please bring a candle or just help us hold up our
banner (no signs please; we have our banner!)
