This documentary project critically examines the dominant
discourse in the West, particularly in the United States,
about the supposed relationship between Arabs and
Terrorism. The project is divided into three miniseries
filmed across the globe (USA, France, UK, Netherlands,
Spain, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Israel). It includes
95 distinguished interviewees in 10 Countries, and dozens
of street interviews.

Afghanistan's national hero & youngest parliamentarian,
Malalai Joya returns to California this April for a very limited
number of events. The BBC has called Ms. Joya "the most
famous woman in Afghanistan." She has been threatened
with death and rape for publicly denouncing Afghanistan
warlords and has survived four assassination attempts.
Recently a documentary called Enemies of Happiness
profiling Malalai Joya won the World Cinema Jury Prize in
Documentaries at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.

Salim will speak about US Terrorism Against Cuba, the Case
of the Cuban Five and Dr. Weinglass will speak about the
legal aspect of the case.
Leonard I. Weinglass is a U.S. lawyer graduated from Yale
Law School in 1958. Dr. Weinglass taught criminal trial
advocacy at the University of Southern California Law
School from 1974 to 1976, and at the People's College of
Law, in Los Angeles, California from 1974 to 1975.Leonard
Weinglass was the defense attorney for Kathy Boudin and
William Kunstler and represented the Chicago 7 en their
1968 trial. He also represented Angela Davis, Ron Kaufman,
Amy Carter and Jane Fonda among others. He is currently
an appellate attorney for the Cuban Five.
Salim Lamrani is a researcher at Denis-Diderot (Paris VII)
University and has written extensively on Cuba, with such
titles as "The Cuban lobby in the United States from 1959
onward" (available in French and in Spanish on the web),
and " Enron and liberalism" (also in French and in Spanish).
Lamrani is the editor of Superpower Principles: U.S. Terrorism
Against Cuba, a compilation of essays written by Howard Zinn,
Noam Chomsky, Saul Landau, Michael Parenti and others.

Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm
It's hard for most people to imagine a world at peace.
We are a very small group of people who believe that
this is indeed possible and that peace will happen once
enough people believe that it can. So we stand at the
pier every Sunday night with a sign that says:
"Visualize World Peace. It's up to you".
We also believe in non-violence both physically
and in our thoughts. We will discuss peace and
non-violence with anyone who is rational and
smile quietly at those who aren't. We hold this vigil
in a spirit of dignity and respect for all as we try
to build bridges with those who don't share our
philosophy.
Please bring a candle or just help us hold up our
banner (no signs please; we have our banner!)
