Lesbian of color and feminist Kathleen McGregor will review Dr. Susan Williams’ Lesbianism: A Socialist Feminist Perspective. This groundbreaking 1973 Radical Women position paper answered yes to the question “should lesbian activists be ‘out’ in the movement?” Come discuss such ideas as: why are queer women scorned for their economic independence from men? What special role do lesbians of color play as potentially the most progressive fighters in the movement for liberation? Women and men welcome!
