The cry of 'facism' is used by the left so much and so broadly that it, often as not, rings of Chicken Little's cry that "the sky is falling." Not so with the comrade's, from the Socialist Party of Michigan, designation of this rally (text at bottom). A google of "Rally against Black gang terrorism" led to the rally organizer's, a 'talk radio' scholck jock, website: http://www.halturnershow.com/RallyAgainstBlackGangTerrorism.html The rally's flyer a pdf is available at http://www.halturnershow.com/KalamazooRallyLeaflet.pdf the text of which is below: .RALLY AGAINST BLACK GANG TERRORISM. Join us to show support for Kalamazoo Police As you probably read in the .Kalamazoo Gazette. Kalamazoo City Manager Kenneth Collard recently told City Commissioners .Our city stands at a crossroads between peace and civility on one hand and full-scale gang activity on the other.. Between March 1 and May 22, gangs attacked at least twenty two (22) innocent people in the city. 2 others were KILLED! In fifteen of those cases, a lone White male was set-upon by as few as two and as many as eleven black males! These attacks were Racial! The victims were targeted because they were White. According to one person in the Police Department, .it is becoming open season on White people.. Clearly, this must stop. Last year, as crime was rising, Police steppedup enforcement of the law. The Black community got angry and held a march to protest .racial profiling.. All the .usual. troublemakers turned out for that march, the race-hustlers, poverty pimps and of course, the NAACP. One .Minister. from Benton Harbor went so far as to issue what some feel was a not-so-thinly veiled threat when he told Kalamazoo officials .You don.t want an uprising here.. Politicians in Kalamazoo knew what the Minister really meant: Stop expecting Blacks to obey the law or the Blacks would riot. After all, urban Blacks have a long and bloody history of doing exactly that! Newark, NJ, Detroit, MI, Toledo, OH, Cincinnati, OH, Orlando, FL, Los Angeles, CA (after Rodney King). The list goes on and on. The politicians of Kalamazoo were intimidated. It appears they told the police to back off the black hoodlums. Look at what that got Kalamazoo: The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety's 2006 report shows violent crime -- murder, rape, robbery and assault -- jumped 21.5 percent in 2006. Property crime -- burglary, larceny, auto theft and arson -- increased by 4.7 percent for the same period. The percentage increases exceed national averages. So "backing off" clearly failed. Now what? The answer is simple: Peace through Strength. Stand-up to the hoodlums. Stand united, with one voice, telling everyone that Kalamazoo isn't going to be threatened by criminals. Kalamazoo isn't going to back down in the face of gang violence. Kalamazoo isn't going to roll-over, it's going to step-up. On August 4, 2007 at 1:00 PM, the good, decent, law-abiding citizens of Kalamazoo can stand together with us and send a message for everyone to hear: Law and Order will prevail in this city! We will not tolerate rampant gang violence; especially racially motivated black-on- White gang violence. Stand with us and boldly say: If the black community of Kalamazoo doesn't rein-in their criminal hoodlums, we Whites will. The cops KNOW who the bad guys are; turn the cops loose! Take the handcuffs OFF the police and let them do their job without fear of being smeared as "racists." When the smears of "racism" happen (as they always do) stand up for the cops at City Council meetings. Let your political leaders know the there is no politically-correct consideration when enforcing the law! Don't be intimidated by fear of being called "racist." Don't be intimidated by threats of an "uprising." Kalamazoo deserves a safe city. Let's stand together on August 4 to send that message loud and clear. There will be an hour or so of speeches and support for the police! Join us at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 4 at: Kalamazoo Police HQ . Saturday August 4th 2007 Meet at 12:00PM at Bronson Park in Kalamazoo (South Rose and W. South St) Brings signs, banners, noisemakers, and anything else that will help make it clear that fascism and white supremacy are not welcome in Kalamazoo, Michigan, or anywhere else. For a map and driving directions to Bronson Park, click on the Bronson Park link on the front page of the SPMI website at: http://www.spmichigan.org SPMI members will be distributing 400 copies of the SPMI leaflet designed for this event, which you can download at: http://www.spmichigan.org/anti_fascist.pdf On August 4th, white-supremacist radio-host Hal Turner along with a litany of fascist groups and individuals will be holding a "rally against black gang terrorism" in Kalamazoo in the hope of fomenting racism and building a fascist movement in West Michigan. The Socialist Party of Michigan and other organizations have organized a counter-demonstration to confront the fascist rally and expose their intentions. We encourage all groups and individuals who are opposed to the propaganda of this rally to join us in confronting the fascists on August 11th. In the wake of the failure of the capitalist system to provide what is promised, and the rise of opposition to the antiquated system: a lowered quality of life for the masses, their struggle and feelings of insecurity, a rise in the poverty-driven crime rate, lower wages, harder hours, and higher unemployment, a sense of urgency to correct these problems emerges. Traditionally, the result of this is a rise in support between two rivals in ideological opposition: fascists and socialists. Both ferment within the working and middle classes, the former through the elite of the former system, the latter through the oppressed. They view the cause of the problems in two completely different ways: fascists attempt to muster hatred against oppressed peoples to deflect attention from the ruling class; socialists blame the mechanics of a system which naturally lead to the breakdowns present, regardless of the society it is embedded in. On August 4th the fascists march; and on August 4th we socialists stand to dispel their lies. The defeat of poverty, violent crime, exploitation, discrimination, and imperialist war will require a multi-racial mass movement of the working majority to overthrow the fascists' prospective puppeteers in the ruling capitalist class, and bring forth a socialist transformation. --------------------------------------------------------- SOCIALIST PARTY OF MICHIGAN Socialist Party of Michigan Website: http://www.spmichigan.org [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] --------------------------------------------------------------------------- LAAMN: Los Angeles Alternative Media Network --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Digest: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Help: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Archive1: <http://www.egroups.com/messages/laamn> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Archive2: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yahoo!
