Friday, September 21, 2007 The Iraq Moratorium is reaching out to the mainstream of American society to involve more people in expressing public opposition to the war in Iraq, in whatever ways they feel comfortable. Events are being held across the U.S. Here is a partial list for Los Angeles County: Los Angeles. Vigil at 3rd and Fairfax. 3 pm - 5 pm. Bring signs: End the War, Bring the Troops Home, Iraq Moratorium and others. Contact: Don White at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Healthcare, Not Warfare. Join hospital workers to help leaflet at LAC+USC Medical Center, 1200 N. State Street near downtown LA. Meet at the back door of the hospital at 6:30 am. Contact: Joel Solis, RN at 323-313-7898. Labor Against the War. LA chapter will distribute "Stop the War" stickers to workers to wear at work on Moratorium day. Contact: Andy Griggs at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Progressive Democrats. Meet on Lake Ave. at the 210 Freeway from 5 pm - 7 pm. Environmentalists and peace activists unite to show link between dependence of oil, war and global warming. Bring signs.
