Funding the war is Killing our troops! Each day during lunch make a call and tell them to STOP FUNDING THE WAR IN IRAQ. Some talking points are below. Lets all call between 11 : 00 -1 : 00 each day one office. Military Families Speak Out is calling on Congress to end funding for the war in Iraq. Over 3,799 US troops and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children, women and men have already died as a result of this war, which is based on lies. Funding the war is not supporting our troops. FUNDING THE WAR IS KILLING OUR TROOPS! This war is based on lies, not one more death not one more dollar! You cannot simultaneously oppose and fund this war. There are ample funds already available to bring our troops home quickly and safely, with the armor, protective equipment, supplies, vehicles, ammunition, food and water they will need during redeployment. If more funds are needed to bring the troops home quickly and safely, monies in the Department of Defense budget could be re-programmed for that purpose. In short, the resources are available; what is needed now is your political will to end the war. We are therefore calling on you to vote against the upcoming appropriation for continuing the U.S. military occupation of Iraq. As military families we will stand with all who support our troops by voting to de-fund this unjust and unjustifiable war. We will make sure the American public understands that real support for our troops is de-funding the war, bringing them home now and taking care of them when they get here.
