We will be having a peace walk to the town center, and
engage the community in our campaign to support the
movement for peace in Burma.

We will talk to the community about what is happening,
and gather signatures for the four petitions we will send
next week.
This is the time for us to take action, and live our school
mission.

rally at 5 PM in front of City Hall (Yorktown/Main St. -

Public comments at 6 PM - please join us. It's
important to have new people join us and to continue
educating the council and public about why impeachment
is important. 30 people gave strong reasons last time;
we will talk about the 87 other cities who have passed
such resolutions across the nation.

Another million dead from U.S. imposed sanctions. This is the
same number of Vietnamese who died in that war. The cost of
this war is skyrocketing, in the financial sense, in human loss,
and the loss of control of our humanity and democracy.
President Bush compared the occupation in Iraq to the U.S.
war with Vietnam, but his military comparisons leave much
to be desired.
Please join others who see that the only way to bring about
justice for the slaughter of so many for a war which was
never justified, is IMPEACHMENT.

her legs as a result of a U.S;. bombing attack in IRAQ. Now,

Beginning Wednesday, July 11th. Women in Black
will hold their weekly vigil at a new location. These
public peace vigils now in their fifth year, are silent
because words cannot adequately express the
tragedies caused by wars and hatred. Women are
dressed in black as a symbol of sorrow for all
victims of war, and for the destruction of nature
and the fabric of life.
Our message, though silent, is strong and well
received.The new venue is on the SW corner of Moulton
Parkway and Lake Forest Drive, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.
All women are encouraged to join the vigil. Women

to publicly tell their neighbors, We've Had Enough! of this
reckless, incompetent and criminal Administration. Please

Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm
It's hard for most people to imagine a world at peace.
We are a very small group of people who believe that
this is indeed possible and that peace will happen once
enough people believe that it can. So we stand at the
pier every Sunday night with a sign that says:
"Visualize World Peace. It's up to you".
We also believe in non-violence both physically
and in our thoughts. We will discuss peace and
non-violence with anyone who is rational and
smile quietly at those who aren't. We hold this vigil
in a spirit of dignity and respect for all as we try
to build bridges with those who don't share our
philosophy.
