BRING A FLOWER FOR LILIANA!!! Decorate "our side of the street" with
flowers and colorful banners welcoming Liliana to her sanctuary in
Simi Valley. Make it impossible for the media to demonize Liliana's
supporters.

I regret that I am not able to post a more formal letter on behalf of
CLUE and/or the church sponsoring Liliana, but as usual the
communication is extremely....lacking.

Nevertheless, the word I have received is that YES---- there will be
at least a CLUE sponsored counter protest on Sunday Oct. 14th in Simi
Valley as the Minutemen plan to come back in full force to demand her
deportation.

10 am to Noon, take 118 west, exit Sycamore, go left, 1 mile to Royal
St., Church is on left hand side, you won't be able to miss it with
all the Minutemen flags that will be waving.

Danzantes and jaraneros are HIGHLY encouraged and invited to attend,
as they tend to lighten the atmosphere of such protests. And, most
importantly, we are wanting MORE THAN ANYTHING to have an
incident-free demonstration where community members can have the
opportunity to come out and support Liliana, but where we can work
very hard together to avoid any disruption.

GUIDELINES?? or, agreements for the day??

--PLEASE DO NOT WALK OR BE BY YOURSELF while coming or going from the
protest / church. Do not let the MInutemen and/or skinhead nazi's
have the opportunity to corner someone when no cameras are looking as
what happened last time.

--REMEMBER that we are there to SUPPORT Liliana, the minutemen being
there is not the greatest threat at all to Liliana right now, we need
to be responsible for all of our people while we're there in
representing a solid front of people who support Liliana and the
rights of all "immigrants", and remember that any violent outburst of
any sort will NOT BENEFIT LILIANA at all !!!!!

so,please be calm, and be careful, and carry a camera at all times!!!!

and--bring a colorful sign and flowers for Liliana and her children!

Note from MN: Last time, Minutemen, SOS and their bonehead supporters
(as in nazi boneheads) outnumbered defenders of Liliana and
sanctuary. They used their numerical advantage as bullies, and
peppersprayed migrant rights defenders. (See below) We need to avoid a repeat:

9/16: Minutemen Provoke, Pepper Spray, in Simi Valley

by Marcus Tuesday, Sep. 18, 2007 Los Angeles Independent Media Center

http://la.indymedia.org/news/2007/09/207304.php

SIMI VALLEY, California, Sunday, September 16, 2007: At 10 a.m., 40
pro-immigrant supporters and about 80 Minutemen and their supporters
faced off on each side of the driveway leading to the parking lot of
the United Church of Christ on Royal Avenue where Liliana has taken
refuge from the Immigration Services.

During the protest, a small group of three Minutemen came on the
pro-immigrant side apparently to provoke. Pro-immigrant supporters
complained to the Simi Valley PD, but to no avail. Despite the angry
protests of immigrant supporters, the police didn't force the
Minutemen to move, Half an hour later at 11: 12 a.m. a Minuteman
pepper sprayed Naui Hutizilopochtli, an immigrant activist, so badly
that he had to be taken to the hospital by paramedics. The protests
went on until 1 p.m. without further incidents.
