Many recruits are misled by promises that recruiters cannot or do not deliver. Our young people are being asked to kill and be killed. They should have complete and honest information before making a decision to enlist in the military, Please join us as these family members share the personal stories of their children and siblings who are currently serving in Iraq. WHO: Families of local Active Duty soldiers, Iraq and Iraq-Era Veterans WHAT: Affected families, students and veterans demand "Truth in Recruiting" and the immediate return of US troops deployed to Iraq. WHEN: Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, 12 Noon WHERE: Pasadena City College, (at the Sculpture Garden)followed by a demonstration at recruiting office across the street from campus. WHY: Because our young people are entitled to informed consent when making decisions about military service! Americans are increasingly aware that the war in Iraq is based on lies and it is a violation of international law. We call for the speedy return of our servicemen and women. Their lives and health should not be squandered on actions that are unjust and immoral.
