On Friday and Saturday, February 15 and 16, Friends of Sabeel-Southern
California will hold a conference on a just peace for Palestinians and
Israelis, marking the 60th year of the Palestinian Nakba (catastrophe).
The conference will be hosted by All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena
and will feature keynote speeches by Sabeel founder, the Reverend Naim
Ateek, UCLA Professor Gabi Piterberg, Palestinian-Israeli leader Nabila
Espanioly,activists Anna Baltzer and Chris Brown, and a concert by
singer/songwriter Garth Hewitt. There will be workshops on many issues
including an update on Gaza by Dr. Laila Al-Marayati.
