THE GRASSROOTS CITIZENS OF INGLEWOOD MUST BE IN TOTAL CONTROL OF ANY AND ALL INVESTIGATIONS OF THE KILLINGS BY THE INGLEWOOD POLICE!!!!!!
The "powers that be" are beginning to respond to the Demands by the Citizens of Inglewood for Investigations into the killing by the Inglewood Police. And that is a very good thing. But the problem is that all the methods of Investigation that are being proposed so far, in essence, put law enforcement and/or police agencies in charge of Investigating the Inglewood Police. Suggested agencies for Investigating the Inglewood have been the Los Angles County Sheriff's Department "Independent Investigators", the Los Angles County District Attorney's Office, the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI. All of the named agencies are forms of law enforcement agencies and all of them have long standing relationships with the Inglewood Police. So, in some sense, what is being proposed is that the law enforcement agencies Investigate themselves. What is needed is that the actual grassroots Citizens of Inglewood have control over who does the Investigating and control over the entire process of the Investigations of the Inglewood Police. The Grassroots Citizens of Inglewood must have the POWER to select who does the Investigating and the POWER to set the rules and procedures of the Investigations and the POWER to fire any investigators. Only in this way will a real Investigation of the killings by the Inglewood Police take place. The Grassroots Citizens of Inglewood MUST get themselves organized and DEMAND total POWER and CONTROL over any and all Investigations of the Inglewood Police. THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY PROPOSED THAT THE GRASSROOTS CITIZENS OF INGLEWOOD THEMSELVES FORM A GRASSROOTS INGLEWOOD CITIZENS COMMISSION TO THE INVESTIGATION THEMSELVES AND TO CONTROL ANY AND ALL AGENCIES THAT ARE SELECTED TO INVESTIGATE THE INGLEWOOD POLICE. Any and all Citizens of Inglewood who volunteer to do so could be members of the Grassroots Inglewood Citizens Commission to Investigate the Inglewood Police. And the Grassroots Inglewood Citizens Commission could select and instruct and control any and all "experts" and/or "professionals" that they select to conduct any and all Investigations of the Inglewood Police. If the "powers that be" (i.e. essentially the Inglewood City Council and the Mayor of Inglewood) do not agree and approve of the formation of such a Grassroots Inglewood Citizens Commission to Investigate the Inglewood Police then Citizens of Inglewood CAN (and MUST) form such a Grassroots Inglewood Citizens Commission themselves to Investigate the Inglewood Police and such a Commission then should (and MUST) supervise and hold accountable and any and all agencies that are selected to Investigate the Inglewood Police by the Inglewood City Council and the Mayor of Inglewood.
