Rev. Jeremiah Wright Interviewed by Margaret Prescod on Sojourner Truth Tomorrow Morning - Tuesday, December 16th, 7:00-8:00 AM on KPFK 90.7 Radio
An exclusive one hour discussion with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the controversial former Pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, which until recently was the church of President Elect Barack Obama. Rev. Wright was the inspiration for the title of one of Barack Obama's books "The Audacity of Hope". Rev. Wright became known around the world after Fox news ran the "God damn America" clip, which was lifted out of context from a sermon by Rev. Wright. Hear Rev. Wright as you never have before and get an insight into why he was the spiritual mentor of President elect Barack Obama. Margaret Prescod sat with Rev. Wright and had an in depth conversation with him on his hopes for the Obama administration, his response on election night, on the economic divide in the Black community, on Black/Brown relations, on women's rights, on what went wrong in the civil rights and Black movements, on liberation theology, colonialism and more.
