Today is the last day that the Federal judge can order an injunction to
temporarily stop SB1070 from being implemented as law in Arizona! Regardless of
whether they place the injunction or not, the Southern California Immigration
Coalition will continue to organize and demand that this problem finally be
solved by a real immigration reform that provides FULL LEGALIZATION for all
people. Obama and the Democrats promised us Immigration Reform, they promised
us the stoppage of the ICE Raids but they have failed us on both of those.
Today, there are at least 21 states that have already introduced or are
preparing to introduce legislation similar to that of SB1070 in Arizona. Obama
has increased and intensified the ICE raids, arrests and has deported people at
a faster rate than George W. Bush! This is all happening under the leadership
of a "progressive" President who promised our community to make Immigration a
top priority of his administration and who said he would solve this problem in
his 1st year in office. Enough is enough!
Hope to see many of you today at the protest!! Let's send a STRONG message
to AZ and to President Obama; STOP SB1070!! STOP the ICE RAIDS!! FULL
LEGALIZATION NOW!!
