The debates are over: Vote Brown! If you watched any of the debates between Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown that concluded this week, it should be clear that Jerry Brown is the environmental champion California needs. Jerry Brown (or, as Whitman called him twice on Tuesday, "Governor Brown") has a plan to protect California's environment, meet the state's water needs, and create clean energy jobs for our state's environmental and economic future. In contrast, Meg Whitman has threatened to suspend (and, just yesterday,"fix") California's landmark global warming law. CLCV has been making endorsements for nearly four decades, backing our recommendations with field research, tough questionnaires, and in-person interviews. It couldn't be any clearer: Jerry Brown is the green choice for governor.
