Hamsayeh.Net - Venezuela slams US decision to appoint an ambassador Caracas
rejects over undiplomatic remarks made with respect to the host country.

US appointed ambassador to Venezuela, Larry Palmer, has on many occasions
expressed his own opinions that clearly contradict acceptable international
and diplomatic etiquettes.

Earlier, Larry Palmer, opined that morale is low in Venezuela's military,
and also expressed concern about Colombian rebels finding refuge in
Venezuela. Such blatant expression of opinions by an appointed ambassador is
quite consistent with US policy of aggression against oil-rich Latin
American nation.

Responding to Washington’s insistence over Palmer’s appointment, the
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez warned Washington not to take the trouble
of sending Palmer to Venezuela since he would promptly be sent back before
he even sets foot in Venezuela.

The Latin American President, then addressed the Foreign Minister Nicolas
Maduro, ‘ Palmer must be stopped if he attempts to fly into Caracas'
international airport, in nearby Maiquetia.

‘If he arrives at Maiquetia, grab him, Nicolas, grab him, give Mr. Palmer a
coffee from me, and then 'bye-bye.' He cannot, he cannot enter this
country,’ said Chavez.

United State’s desperate attempts to undermine grassroots government across
Latin America, have hit major hurdles as more and more Latin Americans from
Argentina to Mexico challenge the United State’s meddling in their internal
affairs. Venezuela is a major oil exporter to the US consumer market.
