Please forward: The Jericho Amnesty Movement, Los Angeles chapter, will hold its second meeting on Tuesday, January 11 at 7 PM at the Southern California Library for Social Studies and Research, 6120 S. Vermont Ave. in Los Angeles. On the agenda are efforts to free Comrade Nur, the remaining Black Rider imprisoned off the attack and frame-up by LAPD outside the Criminal Courts in November as people were demonstrating against leniency to killer cop Johannes Mehserle, who shot and killed Oscar Grant III in Oakland. We will also be distributing a petition to reopen Congressional hearings on COINTELPRO, and discussing a national Jericho plan to hold one or more People's Tribunals on human rights violations against political prisoners and POWs in the U.S. We will also strategize on building Jericho and the struggle to free our freedom fighters, as well as establish working committees (such as fundraising and outreach). We will also take time to write letters and cards to some of our imprisoned comrades. Please be prompt, as we are keeping staff at SCL after hours for our meeting.
