Below is the *testimony* on the threat assessment of terrorism against the
US provided by the Intelligence Community"s  and the Director of National
Intelligence. The word "terrorism" or even links as a "state sponsor of
terrorism"  do not appear in either the section on Venezuela or Cuba or
anyplace within the report.

The Latin America section begins on page 22 and Cuba and Venezuela on page
24, there will be many calls by some in Congress particularly Congress
persons  Connie Mack and Ileana *Ros*-*Lehtinen* ( she has called for the
assassination of Fidel Castro, which is a crime)   to add Venezuela to the
list, which it does not belong.

*Cuba certainly does not belong on the list (never has) and should be taken
off immediately.*

Now there have been many instances of terrorism directed at both Cuba and
Venezuela from groups and agencies in Miami and Washington and those should
be investigated and prosecuted.

Chairman Rogers, Ranking Member Ruppersberger, Members of the Committee,
thank you for

the invitation to offer the Intelligence Community"s assessment of threats
to U
.S. national security.

This statement goes into extensive detail about numerous state and non-state
actors, crosscutting

political, economic, and military developments and transnational trends, all
of which constitute our

nation"s strategic and tactical landscape. Although I believe that
counterterrorism,

counterproliferation, and counterintelligence are at the immediate forefront
of our security concerns,

it is virtually impossible to rank
--in terms of long-term importance--the numerous, potential threats
