The plot thickens...
This adds a new dimension to the information about Koch Industries' influence
on the governor of Wisconsin...

Dear elizabeth,

Yesterday, Common Cause volunteers and staff hand-delivered 32,015 petitions to
the Department of Justice asking for an investigation into whether Justices
Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas should have recused themselves from ruling
on the Citizens United case because of their involvement with Koch Industries,
a major beneficiary of that decision.
Check out our video!

Thank you for helping make this possible. Common Cause is continuing to:
* Press the Department of Justice for a formal investigation.
* Research, document and bring media attention to potential conflicts of
interests involving Supreme Court justices (see stories in Politico, the New
York Times, the Rachel Maddow Show and even the Colbert Report!)
* Urge Congress to pass legislation that would make the Judicial Conference's
Code of
Conduct, which every other federal judge must abide by, applicable to Supreme
Court justices. Please consider making a gift today to support these efforts!

Thanks again for all you do.  Your activism and support of this campaign over
the past two months has been incredible – and it's making a difference.

Sincerely,

Bob Edgar
and the rest of the team at Common Cause
