Of course this was a well planned operation from otside besides of the
opportunity moment to grab, steal, and/or control the region's natural
resources in cluding oil. There is not a revolution in Libya but an
orchestrated civil war intended by the bloodhounds mercenaries opposition in
conjunction with foreigners forces.

Planned Spontaneous Rebellions
La Alborada - March 24

It turns out that, before the Arab uprisings of this year, the US had been
fostering organizations dedicated to the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi. The
assistance was provided by the CIA. This could explain why there was an
organized resistance in Lybia that quickly evolved from peaceful demonstrations
--although they did burn down government buildings, including that of the
legislature-- to rebel armed forces with the goal of overthrowing the
government; how they came to arm themselves quickly; and why the US has
proceeded towards recognizing a new government while the media note that they
still don't know who are the people in charge.

A leading group is the National Front for the Salvation of Lybia (NFSL), which
was created in Sudan in 1981. Shortly afterwards, a covert war based in
neighboring Chad began, funded by the CIA and Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, Morocco,
Israel, and Iraq.

Congress got wind of the plan and sent to then-president Reagan an inquiry
which in turn filtered down to the media. In a later book, Joseph T. Stanik
recounted one news report on the matter:

In a half-page article Newsweek described the operation as "a large-scale,
multi-phase and coslty scheme to overthrow the Libyan regime of Col. Muammar
Gaddafi." The article then reported that "the CIA's goal...was Qaddafi's
'ultimate removal from power. To members of the House Intelligence Committee
who reviewed the plan, that phrase seemed to imply Qaddafi's assassination."

In 1984, the NFSL indeed carried out a failed attempt to assassinate Gadaffi.
It later formed the Libyan National Army (LNA) after a group of Libyan
soldiers, captured in Chad, were recruited by the CIA and joined the NFSL in
Chad. The LNA was trained by the CIA and Chadian officers, and funded by the US
and Saudi Arabia.

Extremist Groups: An International Compilation of Terrorist Organizations,
Violent Political Groups, and Issue-Oriented Militant Movements, is a
reference book last edited in 2002 by by the Office of International Criminal
Justice and the Institute for the Study of Violent Groups at Sam Houston State
University. A foreword was written by Kathleen Kiernan, Assistant Deputy
Director, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. The book lists the NFSL as
one of two such groups in Libya.

The NFSL gave up its armed actions, given their lack of success, and for a
while formed an umbrella organization with other groups. They met in London, in
2005, as the National Conference for the Libyan Opposition, composed of Libyans
abroad, including a group led by a pretender to the throne of Libya. (Britain,
too, had been funding anti-Gaddafi groups. According to The Guardian, in 1996
it gave money to an Al Qaeda cell for an assassination attempt on Gaddafi.)

The NFSL later left the National Conference for the Libyan Opposition, and in
2007 it held its last National Congress-- in Washington, DC.

More recently, relations between the US and Libya were improving; or seemed to
be. A WikiLeaks cable of 2009 discussed the friendly visit to Libya of Senators
JohnMcCain and Joe Lieberman. A report and the full text of the cable can be
found here: 2009 US Embassy Secret Diplomatic Cable from Tripoli Highlighted
Strong US-Libya Counter-terrorism Relationship.

As early as March 15 of this year, however, the two senators were demanding
that President Obama recognize the Libyan rebel forces as a legitimate
government.

According to Agence France-Press, "McCain, the Republican candidate for
president in 2008, discounted as 'foolish' the argument by some in Washington
that the United States should not yet recognize the opposition group because
not enough is known about them."

In fact, the US government did know plenty about them.

Cuban TV has been running a series of programs documenting the funding and
coordination of local dissident groups by the US. The government of Bolivia is
considering whether to expel USAID from that country due to concerns that it is
creating opposition groups in an attempt to undermine the government. The same
agency has for years funded anti-government activities in Venezuela.

These days, spontaneous rebellions in countries whose governments the US would
like to remove may not be as spontaneous as they appear to be.
