This web petition, deceptively titled "Save Great Teachers," http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/702/241/267/
was sponsored by StudentsFirst, which was started by none other than Michelle Rhee, former chancellor of the D.C. schools who fired hundreds of teachers (and then slandered them by accusing them of child molestation), fired the popular and successful principal of Oyster-Adams Bilingual School, instituted a culture of cheating on tests, and quite possibly falsified her own success record as a teacher, according to the Washington Post. (Read about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Rhee#Professional_life , first paragraph.) And she has the sheer gall to put up a web petition purporting to save teachers' jobs!!!! Expose this fraud for what it is. You don't need to sign your name to comment on the petition. Let's bring some truth to the petition signers, many of whom probably signed out of concern about teacher layoffs and budget cuts. A few truthful responses to this bogus petition may taint the entire thing, which in my opinion was already tainted by its own hidden agenda. -30- [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- LAAMN: Los Angeles Alternative Media Network --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe: <mailto:[email protected]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe: <mailto:[email protected]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Digest: <mailto:[email protected]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Help: <mailto:[email protected]?subject=laamn> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post: <mailto:[email protected]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Archive1: <http://www.egroups.com/messages/laamn> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Archive2: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yahoo!
