The Jericho Amnesty Movement Los Angeles chapter will hold its regular monthly meeting the 3rd Saturday of the month, Sept. 17 at 5:00 PM at the Southern CA Library for social Studies, 6120 S. Vermont Ave. in Los Angeles (between Slauson and Gage). On the agenda will be a proposal from national Jericho to hold the 2012 national Jericho conference here in Los Angeles over the Presidents' day weekend in Feb. 2012. We will also follow up further on the recently established National Confederation to free Unjustly Incarcerated and Political Prisoners. An update on the coming visit of former political prisoner Carlos Alberto Torres, part of a national tour to build the campaign to free Puerto Rican political prisoner Oscar Lopez Rivera, will be made. Copies of the new issue of Turning the Tide, with material from the Black Riders, Jericho, the SF Eight, All of Us or None, and information on the prisoner hunger strike, will also be available. The Black Riders Liberation Party will also be seeking to raise funds to get out a new issue of their own newspaper.
