More Info This month, President Obama will be in West Hollywood at the House of Blues for a campaign fundraiser, where attendees will pay $10,000 dollars for a photo with the President. It will be a lavish event inside, while the rest of the country is in a deep economic crisis. Despite hopes for a change in course from the Bush administration, President Obama has maintained the occupation of Iraq, tripled the size of the occupation of Afghanistan, relentlessly bombed Libya, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia, and continue threats against Iran. Here at home, a shocking, record-setting number of undocumented immigrants have been deported, the richest 1 percent are still immune from a tax hike, and the economic crisis is being placed on the backs of the most vulnerable sectors of society. The election of Obama has made one thing crystal clear--change comes through struggle, not through elections!
