My views are the following: President: I will not vote for Obama - it will make him think that he is doing a good job when he is not. He has turned out to be a corporate Democrat with no reluctance to go to war, reduce civil liberties, blame teachers for not properly funding education, and on and on. I will either vote for a Green or Peace and Freedom candidate - I don't suppose it makes much difference which one. United States Senate. I will not vote for Feinstein - another corporate Democrat. She has been pressured to vote right on a number of issues but it is rarely an easy sell to get her to vote progressively. Again, take your pick - I will likely vote for Marsh Feinland (Peace and Freedom) State Measures 28: change in legislative terms. I will vote YES in order to cut down somewhat the constant churning in office. The change to a maximum of 12 years in the state legislature with the ability to serve it all in one house makes more sense than the current term limits. 29: Tax on Cigarettes for Cancer Research. I will vote YES. The arguments you see on television in the tobacco industry supported ads are arguments without substance. Los Angeles County Measures H: Hotel Occupancy tax continuation. I will vote YES. L: LA County Landfill tax continuation. I will vote YES. U.S. Congress District 24 Lois Capps District 25 Lee Rogers District 26 Julia Brownley District 27 Judy Chu District 28 Adam Schiff District 29 Richard Valdez District 30 Howard Berman - both he and Brad Sherman have pretty good over the years, I just feel closer to Howard because of his longtime association with CFT District 31 take your pick among the Democrats District 32 Grace Napolitano District 33 Henry Waxman District 34 Xavier Becerra District 35 Joe Baca District 37 Karen Bass District 38 Linda Sanchez District 39 Jay Chen District 40 Lucille Roybal-Allard District 43 Maxine Waters District 44 Janice Hahn District 47 Alan Lowenthal State Senate District 15 Jim Beall District 17 Bill Monning District 19 Hannah-Beth Jackson District 25 Ameenah Fuller - I don't like Carol Liu's views on education very much District 27 Fran Pavley District 31 Richard Roth District 33 Ricardo Lara District 35 Paul Butterfield - I don't like Rod Wright's way of voting District 39 Marty Block State Assembly District 37 Das Williams District 38 Edward Headington District 39 Richard Alarcon District 41 Chris Holden District 43 Mike Gatto District 45 Bob Blumenfield District 46 Laurette Healey District 47 Cheryl Brown District 48 Roger Hernandez District 49 Ed Chau District 50 Torie Osborn District 51 Luis Lopez - a friend of mine and a great guy District 52 Norma Torres District 53 John A.
