Subject: Blues Fest Coming Up!

Hi Again: We're getting close. This weekend is Mom's Day and next weekend
is
the BMPAC Spring Blues Festival, May 18, 19, & 20
I thought it would be a good idea to introduce you to, in case you weren't
yet familiar with, some of the incredible artists who will be on the program
next weekend. This is just a sample of the kind of blues ball we will all be
enjoying.
Take a listen...if you love the Blues, how can you stay away!

Subject: election advise

It is election time again. My views are the following:

President: I will not vote for Obama - it will make him think that he is
doing a good job when he is not. He has turned out to be a corporate
Democrat with no reluctance to go to war, reduce civil liberties, blame
teachers for not properly funding education, and on and on. I will either
vote for a Green or Peace and Freedom candidate - I don't suppose it makes
much difference which one.

United States Senate. I will not vote for Feinstein - another corporate
Democrat. She has been pressured to vote right on a number of issues but it
is rarely an easy sell to get her to vote progressively. Again, take your
pick - I will likely vote for Marsh Feinland (Peace and Freedom)
State Measures

28: change in legislative terms. I will vote YES in order to cut down
somewhat the constant churning in office. The change to a maximum of 12
years in the state legislature with the ability to serve it all in one house
makes more sense than the current term limits.

29: Tax on Cigarettes for Cancer Research. I will vote YES. The arguments
you see on television in the tobacco industry supported ads are arguments
without substance.

 Los Angeles County Measures
H: Hotel Occupancy tax continuation. I will vote YES.
L: LA County Landfill tax continuation. I will vote YES.
