Sorry about posting all these bad news items for Change Links but have another real big one today
Yesterday I went over to my girlfriends house. Noticed some water leaking, added a bit then we drive around Silverlake doing a few errands and didnt noticed any more leaking. Coming back home to Van Nuys, on the freeway all hell broke loose. Ended up coasting off the freeway and calling AAA for a tow home. Took it to a mechanic today, Sunday. The first bad news was the radiator was what was leaking, to replace it and the hoses, $600. But they told me that the head gasket might have burned. And it would be at least $2500 to fix, which would be impossible for us to pay for. Can use a credit card but interest would pile up. Im duly frustrated, the life of an independent media producer trying to get by with donations, I guess.
