Friend --

We know
how dangerous and destructive it is when news outlets actively
misinform. But, there are other types of deceit - like when a
newspaper hides important information about an author of an op-ed or
column.

Elections are an especially critical time to have
honest and transparent media. Yet, according to a review by Media
Matters, The Wall Street Journal has recently
published a total of 20 pieces from nine writers without disclosing
their official roles within Mitt Romney’s presidential
campaign.

Sign
the letter we’ll be delivering to The Wall Street Journal Editorial Page Editor
Paul A. Gigot and the Journal’s
Editorial Board, asking them to disclose campaign positions for each
and every op-ed and column published.

This isn’t an
issue of left or right, Democrat and Republican. We all have an
interest in making sure our media is honest, transparent, and
responsible. And when media outlets, like the Journal, fail
even basic standards of professional conduct, we should use our voices
to hold them accountable.
