AVN.- Venezuelan people started to mobilize since early morning on Thursday, Jan. 10, towards Miraflores Presidential Palace, in Caracas, to back president Hugo Chavez and defend the Bolivarian Revolution. Going round the city from east to west, groups of people were seen mobilizing through main avenues heading for the presidential palace, as the President of the Republic is in Havana, Cuba, recovering from a surgery performed last month of December. People from different states of the country also came to Caracas, such as Liliana Vera, who arrived from western state of Apure to back President Chavez. "I am here with my President, in good times and bad. Today, he needs the support of all of us and here we are, in the streets, to back his administration. I pray to God to give him strength and for him to come back stronger to fight for our homeland." In turn, Mirian Sanchez, spokesperson of a communal council from western state of Falcon, said she came to back the decision taken by the Supreme Tribunal of Justice, which ruled that President Chavez will be sworn in when his supervened reason has ceased, it is to say, the post-operative period he faces in Cuba. "I came from Falcon to swear in Chavez. From here, I take his oath and I bless him because we decided on October 7, we voted for Chavez to be our president. And to the opposition, I may say they should calm down and to not concoct anything because people are on the streets supporting the Court, the Revolution and Chavez," said Mrs Sanchez. Enrique Perez, inhabitant of Catia -poor sector in Caracas-, emphasized that he appeared in the activity to back the Executive Power, the National Assembly and the Head of State. "From here, our best wishes and congratulations for all of them, the Executive, chairperson of the National Assembly Diosdado Cabello, vice-president Nicolas Maduro, who have behaved as real men and prevented to be tricked by the Right. To Chavez, my admiration, respect and best wishes for a quick recovery," Mr Perez said. <http://static2.avn.info.ve/sites/default/files/imagecache/original-watermark/fotografia/201301/13577785148141357823344.jpg> <http://static3.avn.info.ve/sites/default/files/imagecache/original-watermark/fotografia/201301/13577782289101357823345.jpg> <http://www.avn.info.ve/titulares/autor/>AVN 10/01/2013 10:34 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- LAAMN: Los Angeles Alternative Media Network --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe: <mailto:[email protected]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe: <mailto:[email protected]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Digest: <mailto:[email protected]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Help: <mailto:[email protected]?subject=laamn> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post: <mailto:[email protected]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Archive1: <http://www.egroups.com/messages/laamn> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Archive2: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yahoo!
