CAIR Hosts a Screening of:
"The Tortured: Stories of Survival" Saturday, February 2nd, 6:00 PM at California State University Fullerton Titan Theater 800 N. State College, Fullerton Directed by Los Angeles-based filmmaker Murad Aldin Amayreh, the film interweaves five accounts of torture experienced in prisons in El Salvador, Colombia, Israel, Syria & Vietnam. Connected by their experiences, the survivors recount the inhumane treatment inflicted upon them & the resulting physical and psychological challenges that they still struggle with until today. One of the survivors featured in the film, Hector Aristizabal, will be part of a follow-up panel discussion along with Amayreh and Stephen Rohde, a constitutional lawyer and lecturer.
