Geez, just when I thought the world was comfortable in the grasp of the
Capitalists, that no one could withstand the pressures of those that
control US policy actions, the EU, which I expected originally was a
globalists tool, fought back for a tad of saving the planet instead of
reaping more portable wealth profits.

EPA, time to follow the science on bees & take action

EPA, why wait?

The EU just voted to stop using bee-harming pesticides. Time for the U.S.
to do the same.

Take Action

Dear Paul Bodo,

Great news for bees! In a historic vote today, the European Union (EU)
passed a continent-wide restriction on the use of bee-harming pesticides.
Despite immense pressure from the pesticide industry, a majority of EU
countries sided with bees.

Here in the U.S., policymakers have yet to step up. And with beekeepers in
this country reporting record-breaking bee losses this year — up to 40%
or more — action to protect honey bees is more urgent than ever.

Hey EPA, bees can't wait» Bees have been dying off in droves in the U.S.
since 2006. And a growing body of scientific evidence points to
neonicotinoid pesticides as a key contributing factor — along with
pathogens and habitat loss. Tell EPA to follow the science and protect
bees, now!

After reviewing the latest science, decisionmakers in the EU concluded
that neonics — now the world's most widely used class of insecticides
— pose too great a threat to bee populations.

EPA officials have reviewed those same studies, yet the agency remains on
course to conclude its evaluation of neonicotinoids in 2018. As the New
York Times noted in an editorial earlier this month, that is "not remotely
good enough." Meanwhile, two new studies released in late March showed
that pesticides are scrambling bees' brains, leaving them unable to smell
or remember, crippling their ability to effectively forage.

Keep the pressure on!» The science is only getting stronger, and
protecting honey bees from pesticides is now more urgent than ever.
European decisionmakers are following the weight of the evidence and
taking action to protect these vital pollinators. It's time for the U.S.
to do the same.

Thank you for keeping the pressure on EPA.
