The National Weather service as well as NOAA no longer will provide alerts to dangerous weather, this is now only handled by the private sector...
At least one of their services on their recommended page took nearly a reloading of programs to get their spyware off my machine 10 years or so ago as the massive resources it was eating up was more then jsut alerting me of weather patterns in an area to far away from my home to usually have anything to do with me. I find this an interesting timing/occurrence due to the massive weather changes we all can see, while we are told there is no massive change in the global weather and it has nothing to do with our destructive environmental policies of the 'industrialized/civilized world'.
