Something that is not very well known for some reason - is that the United States funds virtually the Entire Egyptian Military and thus the United States is in virtually Total Control of the Egyptian Military.
The United States gives Over One Billion Dollars a year to the Egyptian Military and "trains" large numbers of the Egyptian Military officers etc. The United States makes the decisions as to who will be in charge of the Egyptian Military and the United States sets the policies that the Egyptian Military puts forth. And the Egyptian Military essentially runs Egypt - and decides who gets elected to office in Egypt and when they have to resign from office.
