The Inter-Communal Solidarity Committee is meeting at 1:00 PM on Sunday,
August 4 at the Left Side Lounge, 1905 Rodeo Road in south L.A., near Cimarron
(between Arlington and Western just south of the Metro Expo Line). ISC includes
the Hood Health program, George Jackson Freedom School operating out of Chuco's
Justice Center, Break the Lock, and Turning the Tide. (See
http://tideturning.org and facebook.com/tideturning or
facebook.com/intercommunalsolidarity for more information.)

That will be
followed at 4:00 PM at the same venue by a meeting of the Jericho Amnesty
Movement to free all political prisoners, focusing on letter-writing to the
prisoner hunger strikers here in CA, to break through the torture-isolation
imposed by the state via a flood of letters into the SHUs. We will have cards,
paper, envelopes and addresses, but if you can't bring a stamp (or two), think
about donating for the postage. Jericho, TTT and Break the Lock all have
significant postage bills trying to keep in touch with prisoners.

FYI, I
(Michael Novick) was invited to be a guest on the Qumran Report internet radio
station from the skid row theater troupe Monday night August 5. I have attached
some information about it below, from Melvin Johnson and Earleen
Anthony.--Michael
