Please forward widely: In solidarity with the prisoner hunger strikers in CA and elsewhere, there will be a demonstration, and a separate civil disobedience action by people prepared to risk arrest, because of the urgent need for action to get Gov. Brown and the state of CA to meet the hunger strikers' 5 core demands before the strikers suffer permanent damage or worse from their on-going strike, and to prevent the further torture of forced-feeding.
It will take place at the CDCR-Parole offices on 24th St. and South Alameda, 2444 S. Alameda, L.A. 90058, just south of downtown Los Angeles on Friday, August 30 (a near culmination of Black August) at 4:00 PM. The action was initiated by the Black Riders Liberation Party, some of whose prison chapter members are involved in the strike, and the Inter-communal Solidarity Committee. Co-sponsors and endorsers are welcome to join in or to take similar action at other CDCR-Parole offices around southern CA and the state of California, in order to magnify the impact.
