Hi Cynthia
I have a first generation Labradoodle and if I were
going to breed her I would only breed to a standard
poodle. These pups are the closest to nonshedding
your going to get and most are nonshedding. The F1B
labradoodle is better for allergies. My wife has
allergies and right now we don't know if its the new
pup or just the season. Everyone here is having
problems with their allergies right now so were
waiting to see what happens afer this season is over.
We bought our doodle because of the allergies, but
don't know yet if we have succeeded. Also the coat
changes when there adults. Don't be discouraged with
the breeders. Most don't want any competion. The
prices right now for doodles is outrageous. I payed
500 for my doodle, but the same dog is 1000 and more
with many breeders. Many want a nonbreeding clause in
there adoption contracts. They want you to spend 1000
dollars for an altered dog. Shouldn't that be up to
the new owner. Good luck with your project.
