Hi Adrienne,

My name is Laurie, and I have a labradoodle guide dog. He is a first
generation cross, his mom being a black lab, and his dad a white poodle.
Mark sheds a bit, and is absolutely adorable. I've been told he looks like
a muppet, a stuffed animal, a Disney Dog, etc. He's also confused with a
Bouvier, a Briard, a Portuguese Water dog, an Irish Wolf hound, and a Giant
Schnauser. He's goofy, floppy, wonderfully loving, incredibly funny, and a
wonderful guide. He's smart, and sometimes it seems as if he's about to
say something. He's also quite an old soul, and I'm told he has amazing
eyes that say a lot.
Mark came from the Guide Dog Foundation in Smithtown NY. We've been
partnered as guide and handler for two and a half years now. He'll be four
in April.
I recommend labradoodles very highly, and wish you luck in your quest to
get one. If you'd like to get Scout to have a labradoodle playmate,
perhaps we can meet some time. Mark really could use a playmate, and he's
great with other dogs. Playing with others improves his guide work
tremendously. I'm often in LA to visit my home, dogs, and family. We have
a yellow lab who is just a love named Diva, a Pomeranian named Hamlet, and
my mom has a red poodle named Lulu who is of the toy variety.
I live in NYC now, but when I'm out here some time, if you're interested, I
can introduce my doodle to your dog, and you can see how great a doodle
brother to your dog would be. I live in Encino, but love Old Town Pasadena.

Laurie
