My husband & I recently brought a Labradoodle into our family, and we are just about as smitten as one can be! We did not know we wanted a doodle, shoot, we did not even know we wanted another dog! Being retired has its advantages :-)
Poppie took on much of the poodle characteristics as far as appearance goes. She is (at 4 months) somewhere between looking beautiful, and goofy! I never imagined that a dog could be so smart! Or so laid back! We laugh and make jokes a lot about our dog that "bounces off the walls", when in reality she is usually sitting quietly waiting for a command. I was worried during the first couple of weeks that there was something wrong with her! I assumed that all puppies were little yipper yappers that behaved more like a jack-in- the-box... We have always been more into rescue, so have brought older dogs into the family. Not having so much puppy fun watching them grow up, we are wondering how big Poppie might get. At four months, she weighs 39 lbs, and has legs and paws that look more as though they belong on a bear! I will post a picture as soon as I get one sized down. I do have some questions about what we might do about one of our dogs that is not accepting Poppie, but will wait until later. Jan Baznik Western PA ------------------------ Yahoo!
