My doodle is almost four months. He hasn't had run-ins with cats yet
but I know when he is with small dogs he will bark and chase them
around. Since they are rather smart and playful dogs they will jump
around on smaller dogs and cats basically just trying to be playful.
The thing is that their playfulness is also a way of establishing
order and dominence. With other dogs it really isn't a big deal, I
have no idea what it is like with cats though. Ever since we got my
dog, all the neighbors cats have stayed far away from our yard. I
don't even think he knows they exist, he has never barked at any of
them as far as I know.
