My story is very long so I'll make it brief. We were looking for a Labradoodle about 9 months ago and found a "breeder" near our house here in Ft. Worth. We wanted a girl, but when we got to the "breeder" she had two puppies left from her litter, a male and a female. The conditions these dogs were living in weren't very good so after much discussion we took it apon ourselves buy them both and rescue them. I know we could get into a long discussion here about how I rewarded a bad breeder by giving her money but we just couldn't bear leaving either of these dogs in her care. That brings us to today. Luke and Leia are both wonderful, however, we can't handle them both, they both desperately need to be trained and we really can't afford to pay for that right now so we're left with no choice but to find another home for Luke. My wife and I both work, and we have 2 children, 2 & 4 and we just don't have the time we had hoped we would to work with them ourselves. We knew going into this that there was a good chance that we wouldn't be able to handle them both, our feeling at the time was that we just wanted to get those dogs out of there and we knew that at least they'd be better off with us than where they were while we looked for a new home for one of them. Of the 2 dogs Luke is the most "people friendly", frankly thats why we're giving him up, we're affraid Leia will have a very hard time integrating into a new house. She gets very scared when new people come to the house, barks a lot and usually cowers and hides. Luke on the other hand, loves new people, walks right up to them to meet them and lick them. We're hoping Leia's behavior can be trained out of her. In any event, if you're interested, and you can make a commitment to get him trained, let me know. We're in Ft. Worth texas and we would not want to ship him anywhere. Its important to us that Luke goes to a good home so we're going to want to meet you before we allow you to have him.
