Hi, my name is Barb, and I live in Northern CA with my wonderful
husband of 31 years, our 20 year old son, a 2 1/2 year old Golden
Retriever named Levi, a grouchy 16 year old cat named Kiwi, and our
new 5 month old Labradoodle, Emma. Emma is miniature in size, and is
expected to be in the area of 25-30 pounds. She was the runt of the
litter, so I'm not expecting her to get much over 20#. At 5 months
she's only 16#. She is an apricot/cream with a beautiful fleecy
coat. It hasn't taken her long to completely steal our hearts! Levi
seems to thoroughly enjoy her company and they play wonderfully well
together. She loves her 'big brother', and will lay up against him
whenever he's napping. She either curls up in his tail, or in his
tummy area. When they play, he always lays down so he's at her level
for playtime. She's a rather mellow, is so well behaved. We haven't
dealt with any of the typical
puppy 'problems' of chewing on forbidden things, destruction, or
anything. She's like this perfect puppy, which I must say I needed
after the challenge of training Levi! He was and still is to some
degree, quite a handful of mischief, but such a gentle, kind soul we
love him to pieces. We got Emma from Labradoodle Place in
Hollister. Her mom came from Tegan Park, and I believe her dad (who
is an aAprina Labradoodles sire)also came from Tegan Park. I fell in
love with this breed about 3 years ago when I read about them on the
Internet. I was charmed by their looks, and enjoy the variety that
you see in color, coat texture etc. I'm so happy to talk with others
who don't say, "A Labradoodle? I've never heard of that!" Where
have these people been living?! I look forward to this group :-)
